Bomba Estéreo is one of Colombia’s most original and exciting bands fronted by singer Liliana Saumet and multi-instrumentalist Simon Mejía. In 2012, Bomba Estéreo released their sophomore album ‘Blow Up’, which lead them to be named the Best New Artist by iTunes Latin Editor’s Choice and ‘Revista Semana’, Colombia’s most influential magazine. The album’s hit single ‘Fuego’ has been licensed several times including to the film ‘Limitless’ starring Bradley Cooper, video game ‘FIFA ’10’ from EA Sports, and the TV Shows ‘Dexter’, ‘House’, ‘CSI Miami’ among others. Bomba Estéreo’s 2013 album ‘EleganciaTropical’, which features popular singles ‘El Alma Y El Cuerpo’ and ‘Bailar Conmigo’, was nominated for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ for the 14th Latin GRAMMY Awards. The band is constantly touring the US, Latin America, & Europe. They’ve performed at some of the world’s largest music festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, SXSW, Lollapalooza, Vive Latino, Outside Lands, Glastonbury, and many more. Their new album, Amanecer, was released on June 2nd 2015. It hit #1 on the digital Latin music charts and debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums sales chart. In october, they released "Fiesta Remix" in colaboration with Hollywood superstar Will Smith. Bomba Estereo is nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards including Record of the Year for the original version of “Fiesta,” as well as for Best Alternative Music Album.
