A 5 piece indie rock band from Southern Ontario

After various line-up changes, an indie rock band from Southern Ontario raised on 90’s CanCon radio hits and 90’s heavy hitters like Third Eye Blind, Radiohead and Marcy Playground, Crossley Hunter settled on naming their band after a back country dirt road. Unknown to the band at the time that the road was named after the 19th-century Southern Ontario evangelist team of Crossley and Hunter, who were popular to the point that they were booked 3 years in advance. Hugh Crossley was a songwriter, known for singing J.E. Hunter’s sermons to great effect. Inadvertently the band named themselves after a pair of anti-drinking, anti-smoking, and anti-dancing evangelists. Ironic considering the themes covered on the group’s first length self-titled release. The perfect summertime soundtrack features 11 tracks of undeniable catchy hooks and beautiful melodies. Songwriter Justin Hammond’s acoustic guitar bounces beautifully off of lead guitarist Stephen Bonnett’s tone. Hammond’s vocals intertwine gracefully with Michelle Meesters’s harmonies and driving piano. Jason Meester’s precise hammering of the drums ties everything together. With the help of Producer John Wozniak (Marcy Playground) the tracks were laid down last year at the iconic Mushroom Studios in Toronto, Ontario. After being mixed by Mike Norberg (The Dying Arts) and mastered by Phil Demetro at Lacquer Channel the album is ready for an August 28th 2015 release on compact disc/digital download worldwide via Blacktop Records. Hot off a busy year playing festivals, showcases, and sharing the stage with bands like Alien Ant Farm, Wheatus and Drew Thomson (of Single Mothers) the band is ready to release this record and hit the road again
