About the Artist

shoegaze textures and 80's synthsizers

Wynn and RaRa first met in 2007, working on a music and dance project in Montreal. Their final effort from that project, an EP titled Helluva, marked an important shift towards the duo's synth-laden pop sound. Coming together two years after Helluva under the new moniker, Heartcopy, a five-track EP titled 2MW was released in late 2012. Following 2MW, their final EP recorded as a duo, titled 'Re/Sound' , was released in 2013. Heartcopy has come a long way from their synth-pop beginnings. They took what they developed from their live performances and managed to harness that energy into their latest 4-song self-titled EP to be released July 2014. On stage, Heartcopy is raw and kinetic - like an ode to punk nostalgia filtered through shoegaze textures and 80's synthesizers. This girl-boy duo has grown up into a full-fledged garage pop band, unafraid to slam their hearts on the dance floor.
