Oh Sore Oh

Joel Kuta Andrew also known as Jay Smash is a young musical artist from Southern Highlands province, Papua New Guinea. He started his music career as a church musician with Assemblies of God church in his village called Oiyarip in the Imbonggu electorate of SHP. Around 2016 he left church and moved on to play keys for a local hit band called Natex Crew, recording under a local music studio in North Kagua, Mendi town. His passion in music grew and 2020 was the breaking year when his first hit single 'Ambom Lewa' was released. The song went viral across the nation prior to the lines 'Oh Sore Oh, Nogat time eh' which is now used by a lot of Papua New Guineans all across social media. Despite being the number one hit song on Motu Koitabu's radio station 89.1 Lalokau FM, it wasn't given a chance to be aired on PNGFM stations. From there on he was known as Jay Smash to his friends, music followers and fans. He attained a diploma of Science in Geomatics from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology.
