Big catchy songs, blistering virtuosity
Hailing from Toronto, ROCKYARD began gaining international attention after debuting their auspicious cover of the popular hit song “All That She Wants” by Ace of Base. Re-imagining and arranging it into their own modern-day rock masterpiece, the band simultaneously tackled iconic diva Adele’s No. 1 hit single “Rolling in the Deep,” revamping it with their signature sound. “They’re the best live act I’ve seen so far this year, bar none. They write catchy, insistent originals and play unexpected and well-chosen covers like ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Helter Skelter.’ (Imagine how great those would sound as loud-alterna-rock songs, then multiply by ten).
