Music that's all over the map!
Instead of travelling with a camera, Scott Riesterer trots the globe with a portable audio recorder. These sonic snapshots then serve as the foundation and pallette for his music, amidst layers of electronic and acoustic instruments. His eclectic tastes pull influences from a diverse range of artists including Amon Tobin, Miles Davis, Sasha and DJ Krush to name just a few. It’s literally music that’s all over the map! His latest album, Sonidos De Cuba is an ambitious acoustic journey built upon field recordings from his travels in Cuba. The next destination? Japan and Thailand.
